How to assemble an e-bike from the box

• Allen keys (4, 5 and 6 mm)
• 15 mm pedal spanner
• Torque wrench (recommended)
• Pump with gauge

Before you start, lay everything out on a soft surface (the flattened box works) and check it against the parts list in your manual.

• Frame with motor and wheels
• Battery and keys
• Charger
• Handlebars with display and controls
• Pedals, front light and mudguards

   Step 1: Unpack the bike and set the battery and charger aside; do not charge a battery that has been dropped or is damaged.

   Step 2: Fit and centre the handlebars and tighten the stem bolts to the printed torque.

   Step 3: Fit the front wheel with its axle or quick release, and connect the front hub motor cable if the motor is in the front wheel.

   Step 4: Check that every connector (display, brake sensors, lights) is pushed fully home and cables are not stretched when you turn the bars.

   Step 5: Fit the pedals: right clockwise, left anticlockwise.

   Step 6: Slide the battery into its mount until it locks, and remove the key.

   Step 7: Charge the battery fully with the supplied charger, pump the tyres, test both brakes and then test the motor assistance at the lowest level.

• Using a charger that is not the one supplied.
• Turning the handlebars and pulling a display cable out of its plug.
• Starting on the highest assistance level before checking the brakes.
