Keep the white border (quiet zone) around the code, don't crop it.
Dark ink on a light background. Avoid glossy foil and busy photos behind it.
Shorter links make simpler codes that scan faster when printed small.

How small can I print the QR code?+

Keep it at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide, including the white border. On a box that people scan from arm's length, 3 to 4 cm is more comfortable. A rough rule: people can scan from about ten times the code's width.

Will the code still work with my logo in the middle?+

Yes, as long as error correction is set to H (the default). H lets up to 30% of the code be covered, and we keep the logo well inside that. Always test with two different phones before you print a batch.

Does the QR code expire?+

No. The code simply contains your link, there's no redirect service in between. It works for as long as the link does, so point it at a page you control or a video that will stay up.

Is my link or logo uploaded anywhere?+

No. The code is made in your browser, and your logo never leaves your computer. There's no sign-up and nothing to pay.
