How to assemble an air hockey table

• Cross-head screwdriver
• Allen keys (supplied)
• Spirit level

Before you start, lay everything out on a soft surface (the flattened box works) and check it against the parts list in your manual.

• Table body with playfield and blower
• Legs and braces
• Goal ends and puck returns
• Side rails and scoring unit
• Pucks, strikers and power lead

   Step 1: With a helper, lay the table body upside down on its box or a blanket, protecting the playfield surface.

   Step 2: Bolt on the legs and braces, then fit the levelling feet.

   Step 3: Check the blower is secure and its cable is clipped away from the legs.

   Step 4: Turn the table upright with two people, lifting by the frame and not the rails.

   Step 5: Fit the goal ends with their puck returns and the scoring unit, connecting its cable if it has one.

   Step 6: Level the playfield in both directions with the feet, using the spirit level at several points.

   Step 7: Plug the blower into a wall socket, switch on and check the puck floats evenly over the whole surface.

• Leaving the playfield face down on a hard floor, which scratches it.
• Skipping levelling so the puck drifts to one end.
• Blocking the blower intake against a wall.
