How to install a dartboard cabinet
A dartboard cabinet is a shallow wooden case with doors that hangs on the wall and holds a bristle board. The board must be at regulation height with the bullseye in the right place, and the cabinet must be fixed firmly, because every throw hits it.

Parts to check first
Before you start, lay everything out on a soft surface (the flattened box works) and check it against the parts list in your manual.

Step by step
Step 1: Pick a wall with clear throwing space in front and nothing fragile nearby, and check for pipes and cables.
Step 2: Measure the regulation bullseye height from the floor and mark it; the cabinet's own mounting holes are set relative to this.
Step 3: Fix the cabinet to studs or suitable wall anchors, level, with the screws the manual gives.
Step 4: Screw the centre bracket onto the back of the board and hang it on the cabinet's bracket, with the 20 segment at the top.
Step 5: Fit the number ring and check the board does not wobble.
Step 6: Measure the throw distance from the face of the board along the floor and mark the throw line.
Common mistakes
- Measuring the height to the top of the cabinet instead of the bullseye.
- Hanging it on plasterboard without anchors rated for the load.
- Putting it next to a door that opens into the throwing lane.
Safety notes
- Keep the throwing lane clear; no one should walk between the thrower and the board.
- Keep darts out of reach of young children.
- Close the cabinet doors when not in use.
