How to assemble a dollhouse kit
A wooden dollhouse kit comes flat-packed: walls, floors, roof and small parts like stairs, windows and railings. It is built floor by floor, often with small screws or glue, and the finished house needs to be stable and free of loose small parts before a child plays with it.

Parts to check first
Before you start, lay everything out on a soft surface (the flattened box works) and check it against the parts list in your manual.

Step by step
Step 1: Lay out every part and check them against the parts list before starting.
Step 2: Fix the base to the back wall and the side walls, making sure the side walls are at right angles.
Step 3: Slide or screw in the first floor, then add the partitions for that level.
Step 4: Build each upper floor the same way, working up.
Step 5: Glue or screw in the stairs, railings and window frames, holding glued parts with masking tape until set.
Step 6: Fit the roof panels last, check nothing rocks, and sand any sharp edges.
Step 7: Fix the dollhouse to the wall with the supplied bracket if it is tall.
Common mistakes
- Gluing the walls before checking the floor fits.
- Fitting windows or railings upside down.
- Letting a child play before the glue has fully set.
Safety notes
- Small parts are a choking hazard; keep them away from children under the age on the box.
- Anchor tall dollhouses to the wall so they cannot tip if a child pulls on them.
