How to set up a tripod projector screen

• None beyond the screen (a soft cloth for cleaning the fabric)

Before you start, lay everything out on a soft surface (the flattened box works) and check it against the parts list in your manual.

• Screen case with tripod legs
• Telescopic centre pole
• Top bar with hook
• Keystone arm, if fitted

   Step 1: Stand the case upright and pull the legs fully open until they lock; the case should sit level and centred.

   Step 2: Rotate the case to horizontal at the point shown on its bracket and lock it.

   Step 3: Pull the screen fabric up by the handle on the top bar, keeping it straight, and hook the bar onto the top of the centre pole.

   Step 4: Raise the pole to the height you want and lock it at each stage.

   Step 5: Use the keystone arm, if fitted, to tilt the top toward the projector when the projector is below the screen.

   Step 6: Position the projector square to the screen and adjust zoom and focus.

   Step 7: To pack away, lower the pole first, unhook the bar and let the fabric roll back in under control.

• Setting the legs only partly open, so the screen leans.
• Letting the fabric snap back into the case, which creases it.
• Touching the screen surface with fingers.
